Iurie Belegurschi is a renowend landscape photographer based in Iceland. Born in Moldova in 1981, he developed a passion for nature and photography from an early age. In 2006, Iurie moved to Iceland and quickly fell in love with the country’s stunning landscapes, which became the primary focus of his photography.


Known for his captivating images of Iceland’s dramatic scenery, Iurie has a keen eye for capturing the beauty of natural elements such as glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes, and the elusive Northern Lights. His work often showcases the ethereal and otherworldly aspects of Iceland’s landscapes, creating a sense of awe and wonder.

In 2023, he was awarded the esteemed Order of Cultural Merit in the rank of Knight by the President of Romania for his unparalled contribution to the consolidation and diversification of Romania’s bilateral relations with Iceland on a cultural level, as well as the improvement of the visibility and image of Romania at an international level.
